My Hero Academia cosplay costumes are incredible, especially these ones.
My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series where the main character, Izuku Midoriya, was born without superpowers in a world where most have them. In My Hero Academia, these superpowers are called quirks. They also make for great cosplays in the real world, and we’ve found 13 cosplay costumes that we think are fantastic.
1) Kodycos as Shoto Todoroki
This wonderful My Hero Academia cosplay from Kodycos captures the character perfectly, with every element of his outfit matching Todoroki’s perfectly. The careful face painting ensures a realistic look, and it’s clear that Kody has put lots of effort into getting the look just right.

2) Lorentz iWood as War Machine Katsuki Bakugou
These two shots of Lorentz iWood show his dedication to cosplaying War Machine Katsuki Bakugou. Not only has he worn the cosplay well, but he’s made the neck armor, kneepads and styled the boots too.
He’s also covering the little details, like the orange eye contacts and the patterns on the gloves. In the close-up photo, you can see the effort that Lorentz iWood put into the eye mask and the wig too. 3) Charlie Kun as Tomura Shigaraki
This amazing My Hero Academia cosplay by Charlie Kun shows exactly why Tomura Shigaraki is the leader of the League of Villains and the sworn enemy of Izuku Midoriya.
The sinister mask in the shape of a hand, obscuring his face, is recreated convincingly by Charlie Kun, as are some of the other 13 hands that Shigaraki has attached to his villain’s outfit in My Hero Academia. 4) Exerbrang Works as All Might
This hyper-realistic My Hero Academia cosplay of the world’s greatest hero, and mentor to Izuku Midoriya, All Might, really caught our eye. You can see the effort that Exerbrang Works has put into every element of the cosplay, from the perfectly styled wig to the vibrant colors of the outfit.

5) Kurapicam as Himiko Toga
This striking My Hero Academia cosplay by Kurapicam portrays the unmistakable Himiko Toga. We instantly noticed the finer details, like the two fangs, carefully applied eyeshadow, and authentic collar. The almost dismissive downward gaze brings out Toga’s evil side very well.

6) Biracial Lizard as Izuku Midoriya
Any My Hero Academia cosplay list just has to feature Izuku Midoriya, the main character and superhero of the whole series. This amazing cosplay from Biracial Lizard was made with true dedication. He found plastic leather gloves, bought the bodysuit, and then asked a friend to edit in the lightning bolts.

7) Yushi Cosplay as Ochaco Uraraka
This mid-air photograph of Yushi Cosplay portraying the My Hero Academia character Ochaco Uraraka stood out to us for several reasons. The shirt, tie, and suit jacket are all a perfect fit, and the skirt is as pleated as you’d expect for cosplayers of Uraraka.

8) Kendel B as Froppy
Cosplay costumes for a Japanese superhero manga series don’t often come better than this, and that’s because Kendel B is a very popular cosplayer, with a six-figure follower count on Instagram. With this cosplay of Froppy from My Hero Academia, you can see why. Kendel B faithfully represents Froppy’s body language when she’s curious or pondering something.

9) Rinnieriot as Momo Yaoyorozu
Rinnieriot is another hugely successful cosplayer with a six-figure Instagram following, and her cosplay costumes include My Hero Academia’s Momo Yaoyorozu. Adding visual effects is a great way to add the finishing touches to a cosplay photograph, it’s worked out brilliantly for Rinnieriot.

10) Rionafae as Mina Ashido
Rionafae has cosplayed a spectacular Mina Ashido from My Hero Academia, and we love the face paint and the large contact lenses. The handmade horns add another layer of appeal to her cosplay, plus the jacket and shirt complement each other nicely.

11) Sabrina Cosplayer as Kyoka Jiro
We really liked this My Hero Academia cosplay from Sabrina Cosplayer, as it emphasizes Kyoka Jiro’s earphone jacks. These are attached to her earlobes and give her special powers, so making them look seamless is essential. Sabrina’s pose also looks quite natural, which adds authenticity to the cosplay.

12) Sammyscosplay as Denki Kaminari
As we mentioned, cosplays with edits added later can really stand out, and this cosplay of My Hero Academia character Denki Kaminari proves our point again. The electric visual effects have been added to the cosplay photo in just the right places, and the outfit is pure quality.
We also appreciated the detailed paintwork and etching Sammyscosplay applied to the props too, especially Kaminari’s sharpshooting gear. It helps fans see why Kaminari has earned his place among the heroes of My Hero Academia.
13) Stale Cookies Cosplay as Yuga Aoyama
One of the more attention-grabbing characters of My Hero Academia is surely Yuga Aoyama, and pulling off a successful cosplay of him isn’t easy. But Stale Cookies Cosplay got the job done, and you can see the vibrant results in the photo.
We especially like the cape and the glasses, and the effort that’s been put into the armor on this cosplay. All together, it makes for a convincing look.
