How to Dress Like Loki from the MCU
Hair:
One of the most distinctive aspects of Loki’s appearance is his long, flowing black hair. If you don’t currently have the appropriate length or color of hair, you can easily capture the look by purchasing a long black wig.
Suit:
If you don’t have an exact replica of his suit, you can simply wear a black leather jacket with some black leather pants to get close to the look. By adding the rest of the costume accessories, most people won’t recognize a difference.
Cloak:
Loki wears a green cloak over his shoulders. This is a crucial aspect of the costume, so make sure to grab this item. If you would prefer to make it yourself, try getting a green bedsheet and cutting it to size.
Overcoat:
Another option is to use a green or black overcoat instead of the cape, you have the option to play with these accessories since the character allows you to use these options.
Helmet:
Loki’s helmet has long golden horns affixed to a headpiece with green elements. You can either purchase an authentic version of this helmet at a cosplay store online, or make your own using materials such as paper mache or foam. You can even find templates to help you in this process using the Pepakura app to make the helmet in the likeness of the real one and properly represent the God of Lies.
Footwear:
Loki wears large leather black boots. If you don’t have high quality replicas, you could actually opt for using a pair of rain boots and using craft paint to add on some distinctive elements from Loki’s boots.
Weapon:
A Loki costume wouldn’t be complete without his scepter. It is powered by the mysterious Tesseract Cube and packs quite a punch. You can try to recreate this prop with EVA foam or 3D printing, or buy one a complete Loki scepter replica online.
Conclusion
With a Loki costume, you can create a simple replica or go for the more elaborate authentic look, but either way you will have a blast using his sarcastic wit and tricks at your next costume event.
